Frank Lloyd Wright 101
While I've been swamped at work, there is no excuse for missing Land + Living's amazingly interesting feature on Frank Lloyd Wright's Marin County Civic Center.Their two part coverage basically lets you sit in for an architecture lecture on what is innovative and important about the structure, while giving you a glimps into the architectural legacy of Wright. If you learn nothing else though, the fact the building was used as a filming location for such movies as Andrew Niccol's Gattaca and George Lucas's THX 1138 should be interesting enough.
I'll shut up now, and let the experts do the talking. It's a fascinating read.
